I’ve been working hard at my workspace, creating new things. There are a ton of things in various stages of the making process and quite a few more in the design stages and a few in the experimental stage that probably won’t ever make it for sale.
But that’s the joy of creating! Experimenting. Some things work out, some don’t. Every new thing comes with new learning, new ideas, new techniques, to make the successful things even better.
This week, we’ve added two new items to the shop.
First is a traditional style urn, a medium sized vase with handles, inspired by the Aegean style. It’s turquoise blue, Aegean blue, reminiscent of the beautiful colour of the warm Aegean sea. I first painted it in terracotta, and there are a few chips missing, to show it’s age.
It’s not old of course, or even terracotta, in fact it’s made from paper. This vibrant blue vase would look good inside, on a table or sideboard, or even on the floor. It could be used in an outdoor scene, on a patio or in a garden. It measures 33mm across at the handles and is 25mm high (1 inch high).
